Research Interests

The five main lines of research are:
1- Molecular mechanisms associated with colorectal cancer progression and tumor microenvironment.
2- Molecular mechanisms that produce liver diseases associated with metabolic syndrome, lipid metabolism and possible nutraceutical therapies.
3- Participation of miRNA in the process of cellular senescence in endothelial cells.
4- Antibiotic resistance mechanisms and virulence in multi-resistant bacteria from hospital and environmental reservoirs, along with the evaluation of new therapies.
5- Molecular mechanisms associated with spinal muscular atrophy.
