Mauricio A. Valle is a Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universidad Finis Terrae, Santiago, Chile. He received his B.Sc. (2001) in Civil Electronic Engineering, and his M.Sc. (2003) degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, Chile. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Management by the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (2012), Chile. He has participated in several interdisciplinary groups to analyze consumer behavior in the retail industry, employee turnover in call centers, and modeling for mining exploration activities using machine learning. His research interests focus on applying machine learning algorithms and physics models to understand human behavior and propose solutions to business problems and complex systems.
