The results show that the use of co nventional materials in the housing is poor and that design can be improved to make the homes best suited to the climate where are built with some alternative materials, as it is the case of mortars with calcium hydroxide in replacement of the cement and blocks of compressed earth rather than concrete blocks or annealing mud bricks.
