Researcher
Accepting new Phd students

My academic interests lie at the intersection of applied neuroscience and behavioral psychology, focusing on three primary areas:

  • Neurocognitive aging.
  • Stress Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
  • Science Communication.

Personal Profile

PhD in Psychology with a focus on Behavioral Neurosciences graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I specialize in applied psychophysiology and neuromodulation, holding international certifications in Neurofeedback (BCIA) and Neuromodulation. My primary line of research involves the early detection of cognitive impairment risk in older adults and the development of neurofeedback protocols designed to prevent or delay its onset.

I have a teaching background at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels at UNAM and Universidad Anahuac Querétaro, where I was honored with the Teaching Excellence Award in 2025. Beyond my scientific publications in high-impact international journals, I am the founder of NeuroSapiens, a science communication project dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific psychology, neuroscience, and the general public.
