Abstract

Journalist, writer and filmmaker, the chronicler is perhaps less known facet of the Chilean Alberto Fuguet (1964). This paper proposes an analysis of this aspect of his work, on the view that their chronicles provide us with a valuable material not only to complement the study of his fiction work, but above all to analyze the relations between journalism and literature, from this genre, in contemporary times. With a view in order to understanding its current '"boom", its appreciation by the public and publishers, and their gradual legitimization as academic study material.
