Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that university students perceive as crucial to adapting to emergency remote teaching. Students experienced changes in all aspects of their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic—adapting became a challenge. An online survey is applied to 323 Chilean universities students. The methodology includes exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and analysis of variance. The results show that the three most significant factors are: 1) the resources provided by higher education institutions, 2) student capabilities, and 3) cooperation among peers. Student attribution varied depending on subgroups characterized in this study.
